I went riding yesterday, just for a little while. Itching for a ride, after the whole day writing assignments from home, I wanted to try this hill in which I see hashers running around. I found this little trail, which connects to the place I used to go for climbing/hiking. It isn't really a place to hike or climb, but let's say when you got nothing to do, it can be a fun place to ride. Not too sure how the trail goes deep into, but the place is a private palm estate. I risk of being shot if I go into the private property, says a signboard nearby. Ain't too sure how they are going to persecute me, but I rode in without water, bike kits, communications and my brains. Couldn't care less for a quick ride to clear my head off the assignments which is driving me nuts. The trail started with a gradual climb and there's some quick tight singletrack, which is nothing technical. Rode halfway around 5 kilometres into the trail and I heard the thunder murmuring in the distance. I am very sure Mr. Thunder isn't talking to me, not until I see Dr. Grey Cloud moving, hovering over the skies. I told Mr. Thunder to stay his distance before I get back home, safely without his lovely Ms. Lightning coming after me. I did a U-turn, and headed home.
While driving today, I can see that there are already some developments on an overhead bridge which leads to KLIA via North South Expressway at the other end of the hill. Just barely some estimate of 10km stretch away, are developments of another housing project. No greens left, just houses. Halfway in between, there's this hill. I hope it stays there. Even if I don't get to ride the hill, I still prefer to see some greens. I mean real greens, not your usual I-plant-in-coconut-palm-tree to show that I care about environment greens.
Enough ranting. I should get out more nowadays.
