
I snapped this magazine at a second hand junk store - Adbusters while on the way for a hair-cut today. What I would call a magazine with a definition of social activism, anti-media, from the group of artists, authors and people who understands the penultimate meaning of why people (the mediated mass) are drinking more, doing more drugs, living more promiscuously, spending more money, using up more resources, creating more waste and deliberately flaunting their wealth, power and sexuality.
Hence, their reasons for culture jamming, anti-advertising, graffiti art, cybersquatting and hactivism. Imagine, a "Buy Nothing Day" campaign.
These people are really, no fools. I would really like to see them in action one fine day elsewhere (without having involved of course).
