Writing more on this blog is at times a difficult proposition. Sometimes it feels weird because the rider / writer feels very much like a retired rider or sometimes, departed from the sport, couldn't care less about the latest. It seemed reasonable to me that something has wrapped up, it completely satisfies me to do so and the rest of the readers would like to point third finger at this moron - What, getting married? Many things have changed - humans do. Thoughts of how sadistic I can go out riding on weekends or getting a larger paycheck rings all the time. I would have followed the masses, forget about the bike. Or sometimes, I could have forget about the masses, appreciate the life.
As you would have noted, I haven't been writing a lot recently. And for the time I would like to write now, it could be one of my last post for the year. How did you actually fare this year? I didn't quite want to look back. That Thoreau philosophy of "don't look back unless you are planning to go that way" somewhat describes me but is inaccurate and doesn't apply for the month of December. My guess that looking back once a year isn't such a bad idea although most of the time I visualize what I can do instead of what I didn't do.
Whatsoever views it is, I can write down a long list of each. If you have plowed through a seemingly endless list of challenges for yourself - back flips, earn more, race hard, kick air, act effing cool, date someone hot ... have failed and refused to die, and felt that you will want to go for another adventure. I wish you your best years to come.
Happy 2012! :)
